UPCOMING EVENTS IN OUR PARISH


 

Sunday 24th November - Feast of Christ the King - Our Parish will celebrate the Sacrament of First Holy Communion two masses at St Michael's, 9.30am and 12:00 noon and St Patrick's and Holy Spirit.

Sunday 24th November - Plenary Council 2020 Vincentia Bay & Basin parishioners, are invited to discuss phase 2 of the Plenary Council. The themes 5 and 6 will be discussed after the 9.30am Mass in the Holy Spirit Church hall. For more information call Alan 4441 8855. 

 

Sunday 1st December - Holy Spirit Vincentia ‘Thank You’ BBQ, following 9.30am Mass. All Parishioners Welcome!! Sausages/bread /tea/coffee supplied. Please bring salad or slice to share. BYO drinks.

Sunday 1st December - Christmas themed Youth Group from 4:00pm. After festive games, activities and treats we will attend ‘Mass with a Difference’, from 6pm. Sausages will be served after Mass.

Monday 2nd December - Annual Catechist Mass and Morning Tea at 9:30am in St Michael’s. This celebration is for all catechists, current and retired. Please RSVP for catering purposes.

Tuesday 3rd December - Year 6 Thanksgiving Mass - 6.30pm.

Saturday 7th December - First Saturday Marian Devotions – Mass at 9am. Morning tea follows in the Parish Centre. All Welcome!

Wednesay 11th December - Craft-Tea Characters Celebrate  - Morning Tea from 9:30-12:00 in the Parish Centre. Kindly bring a plate to share. For a bit of fun we invite all to contribute a small gift for a Kris Kringle lucky dip.

REGULAR EVENTS IN OUR PARISH

Tuesday mornings at St Michael's Catholic Church, Nowra

All are welcome to share in morning tea following 8:15am Mass every Tuesday.
All are welcome to come pray the Rosary together every Tuesday at 9:30am in St Michael's Catholic Church.


Holy Hour Friday mornings at St Michael's Catholic Church, Nowra 

Exposition begins at 10:30am, followed by Rosary and quiet prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. Benediction just prior to the 11:30am Mass. All welcome.


Youth Group and Youth Mass

For all children across the Parish in Year 5 to Year 8, usually the 3rd Sunday of the Month. Come along to the St Michael's school hall at 4:00pm for the Youth Group, a welcoming and inclusive space for youth, with fun games and activities, pizza, and a simple Gospel reflection.

Craft-Tea Characters Wednesdays 9:30am to 12:00pm 

There’s more to it than craft you’ll see; like coffee, laughs, community, conversation and more, if you’ll just walk in through the door. Give it a go and then you’ll know, all you need to do is show.

St Michael’s Playgroup

Monday mornings (during school term) 9:00am – 10:30am in foyer of St Michael's School Hall. Parents, grandparents and carers all welcome! Please bring your child’s snacks and drinks and a gold coin donation.

Coffee morning Sacred Heart Catholic Church Bomaderry - 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month

A number of Bomaderry Parishioners visit the Bomaderry Bowling Club for morning coffee, following 9:30am Mass. Some even stay for lunch. All welcome!

Vincentia Social Group - 1st Friday of the Month

You can enjoy the fun, games and friendship of Vincentia Social Group on the first Friday of each month. The Social Group meets at 6:00pm in the Holy Spirit Parish Hall, Vincentia. All welcome!

Social Bowls - Every 2nd Tuesday (check the Upcoming Events for dates)

Join fellow Parishioners, from at the Bomaderry Bowling Club for social bowls. Everyone is welcome, so come along and have some fun. Wear flat soled shoes. The cost is $5.00 for bowls hirs and use of the green. 'Cheap Tuesday' dinner at the club, optional after the game. Contact Sylvia Palmer 0437 267 245 for further details.


Blokes’ Night Out - 1st Friday of the Month

Blokes' of all ages and interests, come together to enjoy a meal, watch sports or play pool at the Bomaderry Bowling Club from 6:30pm. All Blokes' welcome!

Children’s Liturgy Sundays

9:30am (during the school term) St Michaels - children aged 4 and up gather together with our volunteer teachers to receive God's Word on their own level, in a fun and interactive way.

AUSTRALIAN CATHOLIC YOUTH FESTIVAL (ACYF) is a national gathering of Catholic young people established by the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference which aims to provide young people with the opportunity to attend worship, workshops and plenaries, that will deepen their faith. This year the festival will be held in Perth from 8th to 10th December and the Wollongong Diocese will be organising a group of young adults (18-30) to attend.
