UPCOMING EVENTS IN OUR PARISH

Tuesday 18th and 25th February - Level 1 Catechist Course starts  9:30am-2:30pm in the Parish Centre! Level 1 is for all new Catechists and Classroom helpers and also for current Catechists who need to update their Child Protection and Classroom Management training (must be updated every 3 years).The topics for Tuesday 18th are: Introduction to the Bible, Teaching Authority of the Church, and Using the Authorised Curriculum

Please BYO lunch. Morning tea provided

Looking ahead: – Ash Wednesday 26th February, Easter Sunday 12th April – .

Parishioners have the opportunity to join small prayer groups as a way of helping to prepare for Easter. Booklets include daily reflections as well as the regular material for the weekly group reflection.

Forms have been placed in the Churches. If you have not had the opportunity to fill in the form you can ring the Parish during office hours or Tina 0448 204 793.

The Lenten Book, entitled Grace, once again an excellent Diocesan composition, are available for just $5 per copy. Some parishioners like to use the booklets for personal reflection during Lent. Supplies are available at each Church of at the Parish Office.

Wednesday 4th March- Open Night St John The Evangelist Catholic High School Nowra - . Come along and see what St John's has to offer both Junior and Senior future students. Students in Year 5, 6 and 10 are encouraged to attend! Tours available from 5pm to 7:30pm. Choice of 2 information sessions (6pm or 7pm). Wednesday 19th February . Is the date of  the next function for the Culburra Family Group. Morning tea at the Cambewarra Lookout Cafe at 10.30 a.m . The cost will be $10 for tea/coffee plus scone/cake. Please contact Paul (44464117) if coming so that the cafe can be advised of numbers and we can arrange transport.

Monday 23rd March - The relics of Carmelite St Therese of Lisieux and her recently canonised parents, Ss Louis and Zelie Martin are coming to St Michael’s Nowra , arriving 4:00pm departing 9:30 am Tuesday morning

Children’s Liturgy

REGULAR EVENTS IN OUR PARISH

Tuesday mornings at St Michael's Catholic Church, Nowra

All are welcome to share in morning tea following 8:15am Mass every Tuesday.
All are welcome to come pray the Rosary together every Tuesday at 9:30am in St Michael's Catholic Church.


Holy Hour Friday mornings at St Michael's Catholic Church, Nowra 

Exposition begins at 10:30am, followed by Rosary and quiet prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. Benediction just prior to the 11:30am Mass. All welcome.


Youth Group and Youth Mass

For all children across the Parish in Year 5 to Year 8, usually the 3rd Sunday of the Month. Come along to the St Michael's school hall at 4:00pm for the Youth Group, a welcoming and inclusive space for youth, with fun games and activities, pizza, and a simple Gospel reflection.

Craft-Tea Characters Wednesdays 9:30am to 12:00pm 

There’s more to it than craft you’ll see; like coffee, laughs, community, conversation and more, if you’ll just walk in through the door. Give it a go and then you’ll know, all you need to do is show.

St Michael’s Playgroup

Monday mornings (during school term) 9:00am – 10:30am in foyer of St Michael's School Hall. Parents, grandparents and carers all welcome! Please bring your child’s snacks and drinks and a gold coin donation.

Coffee morning Sacred Heart Catholic Church Bomaderry - 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month

A number of Bomaderry Parishioners visit the Bomaderry Bowling Club for morning coffee, following 9:30am Mass. Some even stay for lunch. All welcome!

Vincentia Social Group - 1st Friday of the Month

You can enjoy the fun, games and friendship of Vincentia Social Group on the first Friday of each month. The Social Group meets at 6:00pm in the Holy Spirit Parish Hall, Vincentia. All welcome!

Social Bowls - Every 2nd Tuesday (check the Upcoming Events for dates)

Join fellow Parishioners, from at the Bomaderry Bowling Club for social bowls. Everyone is welcome, so come along and have some fun. Wear flat soled shoes. The cost is $5.00 for bowls hirs and use of the green. 'Cheap Tuesday' dinner at the club, optional after the game. Contact Sylvia Palmer 0437 267 245 for further details.


Blokes’ Night Out - 1st Friday of the Month

Blokes' of all ages and interests, come together to enjoy a meal, watch sports or play pool at the Bomaderry Bowling Club from 6:30pm. All Blokes' welcome!

Children’s Liturgy Sundays

9:30am (during the school term) St Michaels - children aged 4 and up gather together with our volunteer teachers to receive God's Word on their own level, in a fun and interactive way.

At the Ulladulla Civic Centre. The program Midday – 3:00p.m. Outdoor Food Fair, Music, Family Entertainment, Activities & More is a great way to support the community affected by recent fires.
