The Sacrament of Baptism is one of the seven Sacraments instituted by God and administered by His Church. It is the first Sacrament we receive and is the celebration of giving new life in Christ and becoming a member of God’s family, the Church.

As parents, we accept the responsibility of guiding our children in the life and practice of the Catholic faith, to keep God’s commandments as Christ taught us, by loving God and neighbour through word and example.

Baptisms are celebrated in St Michael's Parish on the First and Third Sunday of the month or by appointment with a priest.

Parent/s are required to attend a baptism preparation session on the second Sunday of the month, at 11am in St Michael's Church, before a booking can be made.

Although Baptisms are free, it is a usual custom to offer the priest a donation for his time and service, give what you can afford.
