Rising from the Ashes—Shoalhaven bushfire recovery outdoor family event
12:00pm – 4:00pm Saturday 29 February 2020
Ulladulla Civic Centre Grounds (81 Princes Hwy, Ulladulla)
Our Shoalhaven communities have suffered greatly from the recent bushfires. We cannot undo the devastation, but we can support, comfort and engage with those who are already regaining their spirits and looking to the future. The Milton parish is coordinating the Rising from the Ashes family outdoor event in collaboration with various volunteer organisations, community service groups, local clubs, businesses, schools and churches. Everyone is invited to come along as neighbours, as families and as a community. There will be lots of music, entertainment, food, arts and crafts, market stalls, as well as rides and activities for the children. There will also be a healing and renewal blessing between 1:00pm–1:30pm. Pet friendly—bring a chair/rug and spend the afternoon with us!
For more information, contact Vivienne Benson-Hodge on 0407 264 665 or visit dow.sh/RisingAshes
People with Coeliac are advised there is a suitable Communion Host available for them in our churches. The host is placed in a pyx on the altar for consecration and is kept separate from regular hosts in the ciborium at the time of distribution. All you need to do is tell Father before Mass and he will see that your host is available for you to receive. If you would like more information, please contact Patricia Bourke 0433 509 636.
