Dates to Note:

First Meeting of Confirmation Candidates and Parents: Wednesday March 21st at St Michael’s at 7:00pm. Children in Year 6 & upward who have received the Sacraments of Reconciliation & Eucharist are eligible for Confirmation. It is essential that candidates & parent(s) attend this meeting.

Second Rite of Reconciliation in preparation for Holy Week and Easter; Thursday March 22nd at 7:00pm.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT AND PRAYER FROM BISHOP BRIAN MASCORD’S 2018 LENTEN MESSAGE ‘It might all sound a little naïve and simplistic, but that’s what discipleship in Christ is all about. We invite Jesus closer and Jesus says, “Yes!” Jesus calls us out further into the deep and we respond, “Yes!”


“ALPHA”: Mondays from April 30th at 6:30pm at St Michael’s school hall. Alpha is a series of interactive sessions open to anyone who wants to come and freely explore deeper questions about life and what Christianity has to offer. We share a meal, watch a video and have a chat in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Over 27 million people around the world have explored the big questions of life on Alpha. Who among your family, friends, workmates, and others may you invite along? Would you like to experience it for yourself? Would you be willing to help with catering? Project Compassion material is now available at all churches in our parish. We encourage parishioners to support this worthy and well proven aspect of our Lenten observance.

St Michael’s Playgroup - Runs each Monday during the school term from 9:00am–10:30am in foyer of St Michael's School Hall. Parents, grandparents, carers, all welcome! Please bring your child’s snacks & gold coin donation.

Let your light Shine! 
Catechists ensure that children hear of God’s love for them. Can you give 1 hour of your time per week to teach or help out in a classroom? Please speak to Frances Fairs, or another Catechist if you would like to get involved.

Craft-Tea Characters - Clean and useable knitting, crocheting, sewing and general craft materials are gratefully accepted. Don’t forget you are welcome to join us on a Wednesday 9:30ish-12:00ish. Making connections through craft, cuppas and company. Pop in or contact Louise 0438218728.

SOCIAL JUSTICE FOOD FOR THOUGHT Pope Francis on Migration - actions: welcoming, protecting, promoting and integrating “Integrating”, means allowing refugees and migrants to participate fully in the life of the society that welcomes them, as part of a process of mutual enrichment and fruitful cooperation in service of the integral human development of the local community. Saint Paul expresses it in these words: “You are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people.”



Bomaderry Waratah RSL Day Club offers social support and friendship to older people who are still living in the community but who are unable to attend more active programs. Families in the Diocese of Wollongong are encouraged to utilise these resources at home to share faith with kids.

"The Journey" is a weekly program developed by the Catholic Diocese of Wollongong aired on a growing number of Christian Radio Stations around Australia. Each week, there is a reflection on the Sunday Gospel reading.
