"I praise you for I am wonderfully made."
The Sacrament of Confirmation will be celebrated in the Parish on Sunday 1st July with Mass at 9:30am and 1:30pm.
Due to the large number of ‘Confirmandi’ at the 9:30am Mass, we urge parishioners who regularly participate in that Mass to attend an alternative Mass.

NAIDOC Week begins on Sunday 1st July – Theme: Because of her, we can!
Women form the backbone of communities across Australia. This is particularly true for Aboriginal and Islander Catholic Ministries. Women are at the forefront of these community driven organizations designed to meet the spiritual and physical needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Catholics. This is an opportunity to celebrate and embrace the role that women play in our Ministries, our Church and our families.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion 10:00am-1:00pm: Saturday 7th July St Michael’s Parish Hall, Nowra. Members of the Diocesan Liturgical Commission will lead two sessions in the morning covering the common ministry of Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion and one session after lunch for servers. Morning tea provided.
Pray As You Go and Sacred Space are free Apps, available to download from iTunes and Google Play. You can listen in the car, out walking or any time of day. It offers a reflection on the daily Scripture reading and a reflective review (examen) of your day before you go to sleep.
Planned Giving – The new batch of Planned Giving Envelopes are available in churches. Please note – anyone whose envelope number is above 420 – you have been allocated a new number. This is due to a decline in the number of contributors for various reasons, so fewer envelopes were ordered this year.
New subscribers are certainly needed and much appreciated. Insurance alone for the entire parish is currently at $43,000. Please, contact the Parish Office if you wish to subscribe to the Planned Giving Program.
Contributions can be made by weekly envelope or monthly by direct debit. If you wish to contribute by Direct Debit (Electronic Planned Giving) forms are available in both foyers of St Michael’s. Please ensure completed forms are returned to the Parish Office.
As we are all aware recurring costs and the wide range of maintenance within the Parish continue to increase, thus the need for new subscribers Thank you for your support.
The Annual Mission Appeal will be conducted throughout the Parish on Sunday 24th June. The focus this year is on Myanmar, a country that is experiencing much conflict and internal discrimination.
